Current Evacuation Status for Blaine County, Idaho


SECOND MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR GIMLET: At the request of the North Blaine Fire Dept., the Blaine County Sheriff has ordered the MANDATORY EVACUATION of the following properties on GIN RIDGE RD. in the Gimlet Subdivision, south of KetGimletNotices05202023chum, ID effective Saturday 5/20/23:  

Highlighted in Green       

  • 101 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 105 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 106 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 110 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 114 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 118 Gin Ridge Rd.
  • 134 Gin Ridge Rd.

These addresses which were previously in SET status, are now instructed to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. You will not be able to return until the danger has passed and the Evacuation Order has been lifted.

The properties on Wilderness Dr. remain in READY status. If you feel you are in danger or need additional time, do not wait for an evacuation order. Monitor Situational Awareness.

PRE-EVACUATION ALERT FOR GIMLET 5/17/23 @ 5:00 pm: The Blaine County Sheriff has issued the following PRE-EVACUATION NOTIFICATIONS to homes in the Gimlet area due to flooding UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:

READY STAGE: Residences highlighted in RED on Wilderness Dr. are being set to the Ready stage, as flood waters are starting to cover the roadway. The READY Stage is the time to begin preparing your home and family to evacuate.  GimletNotices05172023 (002)

SET STAGE: Residences highlighted in YELLOW on  Gin Ridge Rd. are in the SET stage due to the loss of power to the area and the fact that the roadway is covered by water which may hamper the access of first responders. The SET Stage is when you are ready to evacuate at a moment’s notice with your vehicle packed and valuables near the door.  If you feel you are in danger or need extra time, do not wait for an evacuation order.  Monitor Situational Awareness.

If you are evacuated, you will not be able to return until the danger has passed.

The City of Hailey has a Hard ROAD CLOSURE on War Eagle Dr. from the Draper Preserve Public Access to Triumph Dr. Please stay out of the area.
