Thank you for visiting the Blaine County Land Use Services website! The Director and Land Use Staff are here to answer your questions and provide assistance.

We are located in the County Annex Building on the 2nd floor across the street from the Old County Courthouse.

Blaine County is actively doing river work on Broadford Rd. For your safety, please stay out of the active construction area. For the details of the work, please view the site plan or contact Kristine Hilt at (208) 788-5570.

Land Use Services During COVID-19

Important Announcement

Our Office will be open to the public starting May 18th.

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, please conduct as much business as possible online or over the phone.

If you must come in, please be courteous and remember to wear a mask. You can reach us by phone at 208-788-5570.

The Land Use and Building Services department intends to continue to serve the public to the best of its ability for essential services.

The Land Use and Building Services department will continue to serve the public with the following measures in place for the safety of the public and our staff.

Meetings with the public will be primarily on an appointment basis. Please call 208-788-5570 to make an appointment. Most land use and zoning questions can be answered over the phone and by email.

When you are in the department, the following safety measures will be taken at the front counter:

  • One person at a time at counter.
  • Please wear a mask.
  • Please consider wearing gloves if you are submitting materials.
  • Please use your own pen to sign documents if possible.
  • All documents will be set aside for 48 hours prior to processing.

Application submittals and meetings: We will continue to accept applications by alternative methods. Online land use applications are encouraged, and we will continue to use drop-box for large format documents. We strongly encourage remote meetings, keeping in-person meetings to a minimum and by appointment only.

Public hearings: We continue to encourage remote participation via GoToMeeting for as long as the virus is active. The number of people in the meeting room must be kept to a minimum and individuals shall be distanced from others.

Construction work may continue as long as work is conducted in accordance with Blaine County, COVID-19 construction guidelines.
